My collaboration with the 'Ford vs Ferrari' (european version-"Le Mans 66") movie team. Back in 1963 Enzo Ferrari already had my artwork in his Modena office 😀. Special credit and appreciation go to my son Denis and wife Irina who contributed to the overall success of the project.
Willy Mairesse (BEL) took over the number 40 Ferrari 156 for the race and was classified seventh despite retiring 10 laps from home with a blown engine. Monaco Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, 3 June 1962.
Ford v Ferrari (known as Le Mans '66 in the UK and other territories) is a sports drama film distributed by 20th Century Fox, based on the rivalry between Ford and Ferrari for dominance at Le Mans. Directed by James Mangold, starring Matt Damon and Christian Bale in the roles of Carroll Shelby and Ken Miles, respectively. The film was released on 15 November 2019. At the 92nd Academy Awards, the film received four nominations, including Best Picture and Best Sound Mixing, and won for Best Sound Editing...

Yuriy Shevchuk’s artwork is wonderful; modern art so full of charm, sophistication and style blended with a delightful harmony of color.
Among his excellent gallery of oil, watercolor and pastel artwork are numerous Miles Davis paintings (two posted above). There’s actually a large number of lovely, jazz-inspired paintings to enjoy, but for our All Things Miles Davis purposes we’ll just focus on the Prince of Darkness. I recently caught up with Yuriy, currently living in Prague (how nice!), to chat about his work and painting Miles Davis.
